About Us
Here at Potterspury Pre-school, we have designed our setting to combine all the essential ingredients to create the best possible childcare environment along with a touch of awe and wonder to inspire children to think outside the box when it comes to their learning.

Trading as a village playgroup since the early 1970’s, we moved to the site of John Hellins School in 2001, then moved to our purpose-built building there in 2011. Potterspury Pre-school provides term time-only care for children aged 2-5yrs.

We are based in the rural village of Potterspury, West Northamptonshire and pride ourselves in going on mini adventures and being out and about in our beautiful village on a regular basis.
Our setting has a warm and caring home-from-home feeling where every child is treated as an individual. All children have the opportunity to lead their own play and learning whilst being supported by highly experienced, passionate and qualified staff. Our staff team is also supported by our amazing committee, who help to make big decisions about the setting as well as fundraising through the year to help with buying new resources and funding extra curriculum activities.

Our main room has plenty of space and is light and airy, with all the key areas of learning being available at all times. We are also a free-flow setting with straight access out to our outdoor learning area with lots of fun and engaging activities on offer, providing a continuous provision whatever the weather. With messy play, mud kitchen, sand and water play all designed to enhance the child's imagination. Children love playing in all weathers and whether it’s puddle jumping or enjoying the sunshine your child will have regular opportunities to enjoy the fresh air and a range of activities with their friends.

"Both myself and my husband attended the stay and play and absolutely loved the preschool!
The children looked like they were having so much fun and all of the staff we engaged with were so cheerful and knowledgeable, they were able to answer everything we needed to know.

Based on that, we have altered what we would like, care wise for our child.

Our original plan was to keep them at nursery one day a week and come to you for two days, however after seeing the place and talking to staff we would really like it if our child could come to preschool three days a week?"
